New update starts hitting Sony Xperia XZ and X Performance

Sony has started pushing out a new update to its Xperia XZ and X Performance smartphones. Arriving as version 41.2.A.7.65, the update brings along Android security fixes for the month of September.


There's currently no information on what other changes (if any) the update includes. The roll out is currently limited to a few regions, although it's expected to expand in the near future.

Aside from Sony, Google and Nokia have also pushed out the latest security patch to some of their devices.

The Galaxy S9 is tipped to have the same 18:9 display found on the Galaxy S8 and will come with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB storage Information circulating the Internet suggests that Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S9 will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 Platform, sport 4GB RAM and 64GB built in storage and run Android O out of the box. Huawei launches operating system for Android

Chinese telecom giant Huawei unveiled its own operating system yesterday, as it faces the threat of losing access to Android systems amid escalating US-China trade tensions. The highly-anticipated software is considered crucial for the tech group’s survival as it confronts a looming White House ban on US companies selling technology products to Huawei which could remove its access to Google’s Android operating system. Richard Yu, the head of Huawei’s consumer business, revealed HarmonyOS or HongMeng in Chinese at a press conference in the southern city of Dongguan.
